Getting Familiar with Your Own Aura

This is an exercise to help you get familiar with the energy of your auric field. It might be easier to do this if you are familiar with feeling energy and you sensitize your hands to energy before you do this. However if you would like to, you could also do this as a visualization.

  1. Lift the hand that you feel energy most easily with (this is usually your dominant writing hand) so that it is upright. Kind of like you are going to give someone a high-five. You can use just one hand in this position or both hands at the same time – experiment and see which is easiest for you.
  2. Slowly move your hand out and away from your body. Place your hand where you are intuitively drawn to, most likely if you are drawn to a certain spot in your aura there is an anomaly there that is ready to be paid attention to.
  3. When you do feel things that you have not noticed before, such as tears or holes in your aura, there is no need to panic! Simply placing your awareness on unhealed parts of yourself makes a big difference. Awareness is the first step to healing, and sometimes, its all you ever need.

Things you might feel in your aura:

  • Magnetic pulls
  • Energetic cords
  • Bulges
  • Static
  • Heat or cold
  • Holes
  • Rips or tears
  • Tingling

When you feel that you are done exploring your aura, for the time being, you may want to send healing to areas of yourself that you noticed weren’t doing so well. One general way to cleanse your aura is to visualize a white/platinum light pouring in through your head and flowing through your body, forming a light column.
